Devilish Divas Halloween Hop!

Welcome to the Devilish Divas Halloween blog hop!  You should have arrived here from Sher's blog.  If you are just joining the hop and want to start from the beginning, please visit Dena’s blog and begin there so you don’t miss out on any of the SPOOKY projects!
This is a Halloween-themed hop sponsored by Kenny K Downloads.  One lucky winner will win their choice of FIVE digis from the Kenny K Downloads store along with a fun Halloween goodie bag sponsored by our hostess, Dena Jones.  Details on how to enter are at the bottom of this post.  Here is a brief bio on our sponsor:

Digi and rubber stamps from KennyK are a fun and edgy way to add the perfect dose of attitude and style to all your creations!
The creator, the artist, the man:  KennyK is a NYC-born professional illustrator who has brought his funky-but-slick, urban-influenced look to the cardmaking and papercrafts world.  His signature style can be seen throughout his various collection of pinup babes, sweet ‘n sassy girls, cool rockin’ dudes, kid’s stuff, retro characters and more at KennyDownloads.com

Now, on to my project:

This image is called Scarlett West, a part of Kenny K's Steampunk digis. :) Inked her up with Copics. Background paper is by Recollections (Steampunk Botanicals). Since the paper is so intricate (glossy, glittered, embossed, and distressed), I didn't need to do much. Added a couple of cogs (SU retired), a computer generated sentiment, and a couple of staples in the corner.

Glossy accents on her boots, leather corset trim, and goggles. Metal accents were filled in with silver gel pen. Also used gold gel pen for the buttons and gold cording on her jacket.

Tried to get an angle where you could see the gloss. Oh well!

Hope you enjoyed your visit! If you'd like a chance to win our blog hop candy, here's what you need to do:

1) Visit each blog in the hop and leave a comment that includes your email address on each one to be eligible. You must comment no later than midnight EST of Sunday, Oct. 21st.
2) Winner will be emailed no later than Monday morning and must respond within 48 hours or a new winner will be selected.
3) Digi prize package from KennyK is open to anyone, regardless of location. However, the goody bag prize sponsored by the hostess is open to US residents only. If the digi prize winner is not located within the US, a second winner will be chosen for just the goody bag.

I'M ALSO GIVING AWAY MY OWN BLOG CANDY! Tonight I won't be able to hop because I'm having my monthly card club over to make our Thanksgiving projects. I'm giving you a kit to make all your own Thanksgiving projects! All you have to do is 1. Be a follower 2. Leave a comment with a way to contact you. That's it!

Please be sure to hop on over to Donna's blog next to see what she's created using one of Kenny K's awesome digis! Below is the complete lineup in case you get lost along the way. Thanks again and have a fun and safe Halloween!

Aloha, I'm back!

Aloha guys, I'm back from my mini trip... from LAS VEGAS!

My bestie in the yellow blazer, me in the middle, and her sister in the leopard print.  Fresh off the plane!

It was my bestie's birthday, her sister's first time to Vegas, my nephew's birthday (he lives there), also visited my brother and aunt who lives there, and the in-laws came halfway into it too (also their first time).  Lots of family, lots of friends, lots of good times!  I didn't gamble or anything (I wanted to save my money for craft stores!), but Grandma won $6000 at Keno! Woohoo!

Anywho, it's back to cards, back to my cat, and back to blogging!

Can't leave you without a card, so here's the card I made for my October birthdays! (I send a card to all of my customers/class members on their birthdays. :))

All Stampin Up!  CASE'd from Mary Fish.  Uses basic grey, summer starfruit, and primrose petals.

'Till next time!

A new Challenge at Party Time Tuesdays!

There's a new challenge at PTT this week!  This time, make something other than a card!

Robyn's Fetish graciously sent me this cute little mummy digi to use in my project today.  I decided to shrink him down for easy Halloween tags.

Colored him slightly with a skin colored Copic marker and a grey marker for some shadows.

Layered him with a couple of Stampin Up punches onto some Robin's Nest glitter paper.  Tied it with some linen thread to Stampin Up's cellophane candy bags.  Some Reese's Pieces turns this treat into a fun Halloween candy wand!

Can't wait to see what you guys create!

P.S. I'll be back TOMORROW! :D

It's my bestie's birthday!

It's my bestie's birthday!  We've known each other for about 10 years now and she's like a sister to me. :)

Me and the bestie.  With a Hello Kitty cupcake, of course! (People say we look alike! Whattdya think?)

I'm with her this whole week and I made a card to go with her present.  Here it is:

I don't usually do these types of cards because they are very impractical for mailing.  But I'm hand delivering this to her, so I figured why not!

The digi is Fairy Fae from Tiddlyinks.  Inked with Copics.  Paper flowers, paper butterflies (SU punch), DCWV paper, ribbon from my stash, rhinestones, sentiment, glitter, pearls, and framelit die all by Stampin Up.

Glossed up her dress and glittered her wings and stars.  Also added lots of dots.  You know, to cover up my coloring mistakes!

This was pretty fun to make, especially since I made the fairy to look like her (black hair and lots of PINK!).  Hope she digs it.  :)

'Till next time!  Happy Birthday, BFF!

New Challenge at Lia Stampz - For a Man

Hey guys!  Sill away from my blog/computer... hope you're liking the scheduled posts. :) I'll come back to commenting when I am reunited with my blog again next week!

Anywho, there's a new challenge over at Lia Stampz!  This fortnight, make something for a man!

The winner of the challenge will get this digi called Branson Ways.  Isn't he so super adorable?  I cut apart the sign and placed it so he's holding it. :) It is inked with Copics.  Background papers are scrap, so not sure where they came from.  Ribbon and cardstock by Stampin Up!

Can't wait to see what you guys create!
